Who Is Nilesh Singh Ekurhuleni?
Whereas Andrew Mphushomadi, an ex-IT senior manager who worked at Ekurhuleni, was found guilty and slapped with the charges of money laundering, as stated by Kaizer Kganyago the SIU mouthpiece. Singh and David were convicted for the 10 years of imprisonment amounting to over around R21m and fifteen years for corruption which is to the sum of R12M. The suspect Mphushomadi was handed a 10-year jail conviction, of which 4 were suspended for the case of money laundering.
Why Was Nilesh Singh Ekurhuleni Arrested?
As per the reports, these crimes were committed using 2 organizations, Meropa Sechabeng Technology CC which is represented by a person named David, of which he is the only director, and the CC of Nanga Transport represented by the Princess Dlongolo who is the spouse of the accused Mphushomadi. The duo was both given a bond of R600 000, which was suspended for 5 years. Kganyago stated this case was indicated to the nature of the dealings. Kganyago stated, “An SIU investigation in Ekurhuleni disclosed that Meropa was deceitfully awarded a tender for the maintenance and the supply of the components of the computer.”
