Nicki Minaj & Grammy Awards Controversy Explained
Nicky’s song which was a rap song was meant to be listen in the rap category but the Grammys gave her song in some pop and other categories which offended Nicky and her fans as her songs are mostly rap songs and are meant to be in that category while the Grammys mentioned it while moving it that the song can be in pop category. The song which was released in August was topping at the billboard 100 lists and the songs was in the rap category. Nicky by replying to the rap category controversy on her Instagram page that she was not happy with her decision. Nicky although was in many events but she never really won any Grammy award.
Why Was Nicki Minaj’s Song Removed From Rap Category?
Nicky’s new song was categorized under 10 different categories but it was never really categorized under rap. The song, super freaky girl was categorized under 10 categories which were Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best New Artist and Best rap etc., but later it was removed from the rap section. Although Nicky never really won any Grammy she won different awards like American Music Awards, BET awards, Billboards music awards and BRIT awards as well. While replying to the problem Nicky tweeted that she has not a problem with being under different categories but she wanted the competition to be fair and the energy in her song was insane.

Grammy’s nominees will be announced on the 15th of November 2022 and the event which will be held every year will be held on the 5th of Feb, Sunday, 2023. This event is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles and many other artists as well will enter the event and will participate as well. Fans were offended by the decision of the leads in the awards show and it was being said on the internet that the show is being unfair to many of the artists by not giving them the award they deserve and the nominee to which they belong, while the same is with Nicky’s case.
